Around 1988, the winery was purchased by the Rothschild-Lafite family, who gave it the current name \"Los Vascos\" in honor of its Spanish origins. The label features a stylized drawing of the landscape and the building with the expanse of vineyards in front, conveying the \u003cstrong\u003ebeauty of the surrounding nature\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes of Chardonnay from Los Vascos grow a few kilometers from the Pacific Ocean at an altitude of about 130 meters above sea level. The climate is mild with temperatures never excessively high or low, thanks to the \u003cstrong\u003einfluence of sea breezes\u003c\/strong\u003e, and the soil is mainly composed of clay and limestone, resulting in wines with a structured and unique character. The vineyards extend over about 500 hectares, the best of the entire Chilean territory. After harvesting, in the winery, the grapes undergo alcoholic fermentation in steel and then age for several months before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Chardonnay from Los Vascos presents itself in the glass with a straw yellow color and golden reflections. On the nose, it releases aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, and sweet spices that remain intense and persistent for a long time; on the palate, it is \u003cstrong\u003efull, elegant, and smooth\u003c\/strong\u003e with a long and pleasant final persistence. It is recommended to pair with shellfish and crustaceans, grilled fish, and smoked salmon; interesting also with vegetable-based dishes.
